lfcA monumental bronze commissioned by Liverpool Football Club and Knowsley Borough Council for the new Liverpool Football Club Training Academy.

This three figure over life-size bronze set of sculptures is one of the largest works carried out by Tom Murphy.

It is sited at the gateway to Liverpool Football Club’s £12m pioneering Football Academy at Kirkby, Liverpool.

The work features three footballers in action and represents the goals and aspirations of the aspiring students at the nearby Academy. It is 15 feet high highand eleven feet wide. It was unveiled in January 2000, by Ms Kate Hoey, the Minister of Sport.
